CD0Y Easter Island DXpedition

Ben (DL6FBL), Lutz (DM6EE) and Win (DK9IP) wil be active from Hanga Roa, Easter Island as CDØY during April 18 to May 6, 2024.

• 4-ele 50 MHz Yagi for terrestrial operation

The location is within the populated area on the south-western side of the island, but relatively far outside on the northern end of town. Towards Europe and North America they have quite flat terrain for a few hundred meters. Then, hills are rising building a minimum elevation of 4 degrees. Towards Asia, terrain is sloping down to the ocean which makes things easier. They hope that the local noise situation will be OK. Please also note that they have to rely on local public electricity.
